Many arts and craft fans are both savvy and frugal. They would never pay full price for something they could make themselves — often with better results — for a fraction of the cost. Those who dabble in arts and crafts also know that they can easily customize a project into something they need, such as a particular style or color. Enroll in an arts and crafts class to find out how you can harness your creativity and craft beautiful accessories that are marked up in all your favorite stores.

If you are organizing your own wedding or a special day for a friend, consider making your own headband and bracelet for the flower girl. Why empty your wallet on something that will be worn perhaps one or two times? Purchase silk flowers and a headband and bracelet at a thrift store to transform them into beautiful and fashionable accessories. Through arts and crafts class tutorials, you will learn how to select tasteful combinations of silk flowers to attach using hot glue, pins, or stitches to a headband. Adhere the same flowers to a bangle or fabric wristband to complete the little one’s look. Making your own flower girl accessories has the added benefit of you being able to select flowers that coincide with or complement the colors of choice by the bridal party. You can also select flowers that will mimic the bride’s bouquet. Even if you may not have very much prior experience with arts and crafts projects, class instructions will give you the confidence you need to start taking on many more creative pursuits.
